The weather was nice, and we wanted to do something different. So we rode the Pistol Pete bus, just because we can. Just because Lainey had never been on the bus, and it was something fun to do on a pretty day. 
We got to see a bus driver, railroad tracks, stop lights, bicyclists, geese, Boomer Lake, and even had a seeing eye dog ride with us. It was fun to talk to Lainey and be able to point out things as we rode. 
When we got off the bus, we went to see Dad in his office. We took him hot brownies that we made before lunch. 
Then we walked all over campus with Dad and went into some of the buildings we'd never walked in.
Look who rode the bus home with us. Dad!!
It cost us $1 round trip, and we spent 4 hours out on the town. Lainey was just beside herself with excitement today. Riding the bus, getting to see Dad at work, and walking around campus with all the big kids. We even saw our friend Allie in the bookstore!
Who said $1 can't buy you anything these days?
