So, I do realize that I have not blogged in over a year... almost two years. But this chapter in our lives brings a good reason to keep up a blog. We're not close to home any more, and we don't get to see our family near as often as we use to. I want to stay connected, and I want you to see what we're doing. So, in an attempt to keep this simple... I think most of my blogs will be pictures with captions, and little writing. Part of what I struggled with before was the writing... I wanted it to sound good, sometimes funny or meaningful... and that took too much brain power after a 40 hr week and a baby to keep up with. And to be honest...I'd rather be spending time with my family than blogging. Besides people just want to see pictures anyway.
THIS is what has been going on at the SCASTA house in the past two weeks.
Last week we had our friends Rhondalyn, Anna (Lainey's age) and Naomi (10 months) come over and make Pine Cone Bird Feeders.
Doing the pine cones was fun for the girls, but the best part was playing with the left over bird seed on the back porch when we were done.
Daddy and Lainey put the pine cones in the trees.
And then we waited for D A Y S. No bird activity. Not that they weren't around, but they didn't eat any of our treat. Finally... on Tuesday of this week Lainey saw a bird on her pine cone. We watched several birds eat that day, and Lainey was so excited. I think it finally clicked that we had made bird FEEDERS.
